We noticed that people are very curious and that when they visit the website, they often look for webcams and for pictures of the Vatican gardens. So we thought that it might be good to add the service of this weather station to see if that might also generate more interest.

normally has 3,000 visitors per day but after the launching of the new weather service it gained more popularity.

This is a rather simple collection of instruments which take the various measurements of the weather. The data is processed and then posted online.


Although this service doesn’t provide a weather forecast, it does give the 800 inhabitants of the Vatican the opportunity to check the current temperature, wind speed, air pressure and amount of rain that falls in Vatican City.


Apart from the Vatican’s weather, you can also check out webcams focused on St. Peter’s square, Castel Gandolfo and John Paul II’s tomb.
