Pope sends condolences to Manchester after attack

May 23, 2017. After the deadly terrorist attack at Victoria Station in Manchester, England, the pope has sent his condolences to the victims and their families.

Pope prays for 9/11 victims, says religion can't justify terrorism


In remembrance of September 11th, the pope also wrote a letter to the Archbishop of New York, Timothy Dolan.

In the letter, the pope remembered what he called “the brutal assault on the twin towers of the World Trade Center.” Also saying that “it must be unequivocally stated that no circumstances can ever justify acts of terrorism.”

The pope had flown to the town of Ancona to celebrate the conclusion of the 25th Italian National Eucharistic Congress.
