But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Pope names a Special Envoy for Medjugorje

Pope prepares for spiritual retreat in the Vatican

It will take place in the Redemptoris Mater Chapel of the Vatican, one of the most beautiful in the Apostolic Palace. It was built in 1996 at the expressed wish of John Paul II.

It will begin each morning at 9 AM with the recitation of the breviary. And every day will end with a Eucharistic adoration and blessing.

It will go on for seven days until it finishes on Saturday, March 3. Throughout that time, the pope will not have any meetings with the public, including his traditional general audience on Wednesdays.
