After narrowing down the field of applicants, around 70 were interviewed on TV and radio. Of these, Catholic Voices selected the top 25 to train them how to communicate a Catholic message. They are the first generation of Mexican Catholic Voices.
Their training teaches them to respond to media questions, learning about the industry and the work of journalists and covering the news.
Catholic Voices began two years ago in the United Kingdom, after the pope met there with British bishops. Their goal is to provide a point of view from the Church, that is both positive and professional.
