The Spanish film “O Apóstolo” tells the story of a man who escapes from prison and hunts for hidden treasure in a village on the pilgrimage route of The Way of St. James. However, on his journey he encounters spirits and strange disappearances.

The film is also innovative for its drivetrain. The characters are voiced by the Spanish actors Paul Naschy and Luis Tosar, and Geraldine Chaplin, the daughter of Charlie Chaplain.

The film took five years to make, being recorded at a rate of 2 to 3 seconds per day. Many of the creators also worked on the 2005 film “Corpse Bride” as well as “Lord of the Rings”.

The movie has already received a warm response from audiences in Spain and will be shown at a film festival in Moscow before its release on October 31st.

“O Apóstolo” will excite audiences as well as make them laugh in this unique film from Spanish cinema.
