Card. Timothy Dolan will also give a blessing at the Democratic National Convention


From the start, Dolan made it clear that he would not play favorites or give into partisan politics. After accepting Romney's invitation, he told Obama's campaign that he would also be willing to give a blessing at the Democratic Convention.

Up until Tuesday, Obama's campaign had not responded, at least publicly, to Dolan's invitation.

The Cardinal will be offering a closing prayer at both conventions.
