For WYD Rio, organizers would like to see everyone have something that is characteristic of Brazil .

One of the hallmarks of this WYD will be shirts with images of Rio's famous statue 'Christ the Redeemer' as well as the city's cable car that offers views over the Sugar Loaf Mountain. There will also be backpacks, bracelets, pendants, beads, key chains and necklaces. All carrying the logo of the WYD Rio 2013, the image of the Virgin Mary or the Cross that John Paul II gave to young people in 1984.

Items are also available that are environmentally friendly such as these bags. Other specialty items include these small purses and a gold medal that carries the image of Benedict XVI on one side.

Soon, these 70 items can be purchased online from the WYD website. It's a way to make sure that everyone can have something to remember the Pope's meeting with young people that will take place in the aerodrome and the Copacabana beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
