BENEDICT XVI
“Before the end of this celebration, let us turn to the Queen of all Saints, the Virgin Mary, with special attention to Lourdes, which has been affected by severe floods, including the grotto  where the apparitions of the Virgin took place.”

The Pope made it a point to greet all of those attending the celebration, in the different languages that correspond to each new saint.

Before closing, the Pope also called on Christians to pray for the Synod on the new evangelization, which will run until October 28th at the Vatican.
