Vatican launches new website for the Protection of Minors from sex abuse

December 6, 2016. The Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors (PCPM) has launched a website to provide the public with information about their mission: "the effective protection of minors and a commitment to ensure their human and spiritual development.”

New apps aimed to help parents to choose the name of their children


The first app is called Saint Names for Your Baby. Soon-to-be parents can browse through more than 1000 names of Catholic saints. The app provides biographic information on each saint, as well as their patronage and feast day.

Along those same lines, a second app titled Patron Saints allows any person to look up the story of each saint.

Lastly, the Confirmation Names app is targeted towards youth in undergoing the process of confirmation. During the process, each youth is asked to choose a saint as a role model.
