 "For us it's a great honor. It left a strong impression, to hear his own words that the reason he chose that name was to be closer to the poor.”

These children have been practicing for weeks the dance and songs they wanted to show Pope Francis. This is the first time they saw him up close and were impacted by it.

"I felt a lot of emotion. It has made me very happy to see him, because I wanted to see the Pope, a very important and good person.”

"I felt lots of joy and happiness.”


They boarded four buses early in the morning, headed for St. Peter's Square. Despite the lack of sleep, these kids showed their best faces and smiles forward, all for Pope Francis.
