Pope sends condolences for victims of Turkish cargo jet crash

January 16, 2017. On Monday morning, a Turkish cargo plane has tragically crashed in Kyrgyzstan, killing dozens and hospitalizing many others. Many homes and vehicles in the small village are also destroyed. As a result, Vatican Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin has sent a message of condolences to the victims of the disaster on behalf of Pope Francis.

Virtual tour available for Pope's former cathedral in Argentina

The virtual tour takes users inside and out the building, located on the historic Plaza de Mayo, across from the Casa Rosada, which houses Argentina's president. 


The photo section shows off each corner of the cathedral, taking users closer each of the 10 chapels located inside, including the main chapel of Our Lady of Buenos Aires, the city's namesake. 

The tour also includes photos of the tomb of Argentina's independence hero, known as El Libertador, General Jose de San Martin, who is also buried there. 

The website also features 360 degree views from several key points, like the nave or the main altar of the seat of Argentine Catholicism.
