"At St. Peter's were really going back to the very roots through Peter to our very Lord himself so it is very humbling and awesome to be called to lead the church's worship there.”

Msgr. Kelly said to be named a canon is a tremendous honor.

That body is made up of 25 individuals well established within the Vatican. For the first time in more than 50 years, an American will be among them. For Msgr. Kelly, it sends an important message about inclusion.
