But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

"'One of U', is an initiative that gives us Europeans a unique opportunity to not give into this popular culture of death. It's an initiative to show that by working together, with different associations and countries, we can prove that Europe is not spiritually dead.”

To achieve this, people from all the countries that make up the European Union, are asking for support. Their  goal is to reach 1 million signatures. If that happens the group could then present an initiative before a governing body, for consideration. At this point, there are about 450,000 signatures.

JAIME MAYOR OREJA
Member of the European Parliament

"It's definitely an opportunity. We have until November 1st.  I hope that people who support life can speak out and support this initiative. We need to have a big uprising in Europe that sends out a clear message: we do not accept the current culture that promotes death.”

The website 'oneofus.eu' is published in different languages. The goal is to protect the unborn, and more specifically to prevent the European Union from financing activities that go against the culture of life.
