Pope sends condolences to Manchester after attack

May 23, 2017. After the deadly terrorist attack at Victoria Station in Manchester, England, the pope has sent his condolences to the victims and their families.

Pope calls on G8 to seek the common good, not economic wealth


Echoing the words of Benedict XVI, Pope Francis emphasized that ethics should not be separated from the economy.  He also highlighted  that people cannot be considered a mere disposable good or an economic resource.

The Pope called on all the G8 leaders to focus on the ethics of truth to resolve the economic crisis.
The meeting will be attended by the United Kingdom, US, Japan, Canada, Russia, Germany, France and Italy.
