“Everyone's Pope” a lively and fun portrait of Pope Francis

Argentinian priest José Antonio Medina worked with Cardinal Bergoglio when he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires.  Bergoglio was also head of the Argentinian Episcopal Conference and father Medina was head of the Bishop's  Communication Commission.

Following the election of Pope Francis, he has portrayed the Pope's personality in a lively and fun book. He says the word that best describes Pope Francis is 'father'.

The book, which is titled 'Un Papa Para Todos,' which translates to 'A Pope for Everyone,' retraces Medina's experience with Bergoglio, including the cardinal's views on life.

He says a key aspect is that now as Pope, he has the same style and personality he had as a Cardinal.

Cardinal Bergoglio hasn't created a character for marketing purposes; what he used to do when he was dressed in black, he does now in white robes.

Father José Antonio made a special trip all the way to the Vatican to give the Pope his new book.

Then he saw my name printed on it and said: You wrote it?” So I said: "All of it, Holy Father.” So he started looking at it, he flipped the cover and went through the pages. Then he said: "It's so long! You've worked a lot!” He also added: "What did you say about me?” So I replied with a joke, since he loves that. I said: "All good things about you, Holy Father!” So he told me: "You better have, you better!
