Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Pope Francis decides to talk to the press during papal flight to Brazil

2013-07-23

From the start, Pope Francis said he wasnt planning on holding a press conference during his Papal flight to Brazil, but apparently the Pope did talk to the press, in a type ofinformal gathering.

According to the Vatican's newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, about two hours after boarding his morning flight to Brazil, the Pope talked to the  press, where he said the Church needs to go out and reach out to the youth in their own environment. Leaving them isolated, he said, would be a shame and an injustice.

The Pope also said it's quite moving to celebrate World Youth Day with hundreds of thousands of young adults, especially now that the generation is going through a social and economic crisis, where jobs are limited.

He emphasized that despite the fact that he's  looking forward to celebrating WYD, he also wants to honor the elderly, who as he put it, have the wisdom of life and of the family. He added that both the youth and the elderly are need, to build a better future.
