Pope sends condolences for victims of Turkish cargo jet crash

January 16, 2017. On Monday morning, a Turkish cargo plane has tragically crashed in Kyrgyzstan, killing dozens and hospitalizing many others. Many homes and vehicles in the small village are also destroyed. As a result, Vatican Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin has sent a message of condolences to the victims of the disaster on behalf of Pope Francis.

Youths from all over the world, act of Way of the Cross ceremony in Copacabana

The Pope  arrived to Copacabana to lead the Way of theCross ceremony.  Throughout 13 stations, 280 youths from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and the U.S  acted out the stations of the Cross as a prayer was read.

On the 14th station, they met with Pope Francis on the main stage. The prayer of each station, focused on a specific issue that affects today's youth, including issues like parenting, violence, illnesses and vocation life.
