After praying before the tomb of Paul VI, Pope Francis greeted a group of pilgrims, from the Italian province of Brescia, which is the same province wherePaul VI was born. This month marks 35 years since his death.
He met the group just outside his home at the Vaticans Casa Santa Marta. They were all very excited to see him.
"Now I can die in peace.”
"No! What a small thing to ask of life.”
The group was taking part in a vocational pilgrimage and upon their request, the Pope blessed an image of Our Lady of Loreto, who accompanied the group during the journey.
In light of his recent visit to Brazil, there was also someone front and center, ready to thank the Pope for World Youth Day.
"Your Holiness. Greetings from Brazil. Thank you for World Youth Day and for everything you did for us.”
"Brazilians do not walk, instead they dance, even on the street.”
Afterward, the Pope greeted each one of them, encouraging them to find the right path in their religious vocation.
