Peru has a new ambassador to the Holy See. On Monday morning, Juan Carlos Gamarra Skeels presented his credentials to Pope Francis, as they held their first meeting at the Vaticans Apostolic Palace.
During their brief gathering, the Pope welcomed Gamarra, adding that he hopes he soon feels at home. The new ambassador was accompanied by his wife and children. As a gift, the Pope gave them a rosary, asking them to pray for him and his pontificate.
