Pope Francis prayed for suffering families during the Angelus

2013-10-28

October 28, 2013 (Romereports.com) During the Sunday Angelus, Pope Francis spoke about the state of world families, and invited all pilgrims to pray, especially for the families going through though times.

POPE FRANCIS
"Let us pray together the Angelus. With this prayer we invoke the protection of Mary, our Mother, for the families of the entire world. But especially for those going through difficult times. Mary, Queen of the Family, pray for us. All together: 'Mary, Queen of the Family, pray for us.'”

Pope Francis singled out the pilgrims from Equatorial Guinea. He told them that he "invoked the intercession of Our Lady” so that their country, whose majority of people live in extreme poverty, can achieve justice and peace

After the Angelus, the Pope said goodbye to the pilgrims, but he emerged moments later to greet the crowds at St. Peter's Square.
