Pope sends condolences for victims of Turkish cargo jet crash

January 16, 2017. On Monday morning, a Turkish cargo plane has tragically crashed in Kyrgyzstan, killing dozens and hospitalizing many others. Many homes and vehicles in the small village are also destroyed. As a result, Vatican Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin has sent a message of condolences to the victims of the disaster on behalf of Pope Francis.

Pope approves new decrees for the Causes of Saints

December 22, 2016. On Wednesday, December 21, Pope Francis authorized the following decrees for the Causes of Saints:

On Wednesday's General Audience a group of circus performers wowed the crowd, as well as Pope Francis. They are a part of the Golden Circus International Festival, taking place in Rome.

The simultaneous performances included jugglers, acrobats, a unicycle and even clowns with furry ferrets. The Pope looked pleased with the performance and even clapped along to the music at times. 

This year's edition of the festival is dedicated to Latin American performers, and one of them was donning an outfit with the Brazilian flag.

The Pope congratulated them for their performance and tasked them with conveying joy and brotherhood during their performances.
