As he made his way around St. Peter's Square before the General Audience, Pope Francis paused at the sight of an old friend, a priest from Buenos Aires.
Father Fabián Báez called out to the Pope. But rather than just greeting him, Pope Francis called him over. The priest ran eagerly towards him, and was surprised at his next words.
Father Báez, a priest from the Pope's home diocese, complied. As he climbed on-board, the Pope warned him "this image will be seen around the world.”
As they reached the altar, they walked up together, but then parted ways. However, Pope Francis gave him a quick handshake, before reaching the altar to start off the weekly General Audience.
