Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Founders of Catholic social network invite Pope Francis to join their 'online' prayers

2014-01-23

Mission accomplished: Joaquín and Santiago wanted to tell Pope Francis all about the Catholic prayer network they created, and they succeded: this is the moment when the two Spaniards got to meet the Pope.

The social network is called 'May Feelings,' and its goal is to connect those asking for prayers with those willing to pray. Their founders are also regular users; actually, their trip to Rome was the result of a petition. Now they want the Pope to become a user.

JOAQUÍN DE LOS RÍOS
Co-founder, 'May Feelings'
"'May Feelings is a social network that allows users to publish petitions so that people can pray for it, and so it would be wonderful if Pope Francis also prayed for each petition and you could get and email saying: 'Pope Francis is praying for you'.”

Father Fabian Baez, the Argentinian priest Pope Francis invited to his Popemobile, is key in this whole story

SANTIAGO REQUEJO
Co-founder, 'May Feelings'
'Father Fabian is the ambassador of May Feelings in Argentina. We were watching the news at home and we suddenly saw that the Popemobile stops and then that Father Fabian got in. We immediately got in touch with him and thanks to him we were so fortunate to see Pope Francis in the general audience.”

'May Feelings' was created in 2012, and today helps more than 100,000 users from 112 countries.

SANTIAGO REQUEJO
Co-founder, 'May Feelings'
"May Feelings wants for everyone in the world to have someone that is praying for him or her. We simply connect the need for prayer with the people that want to pray.”

Every day 'May Feelings' registers 2,000 new petitions. More than a social network, it could be called a 'spiritual network' that connects Catholics from all over the world.
