(-ONLY VIDEO-) Pope Francis welcomed Samoa's Head of State at the Vatican's Apostolic Palace. Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi, was accompanied to the papal audience, by his wife and a delegation. Both leaders discussed issues like economic growth and environmental awareness.
As a gift, the Head of State gave the Pope a painting of a Samoan beach as well as a traditional regional textile. The Pope gave him a pen designed like an altar pillar in St. Peter's Basilica. As usual, he also asked for his prayers.
