Pope Francis to publish a letter to families tomorrow

2014-02-24

Pope Francis wrote a letter addressed to the families of the world, that will be published Tuesday. With this document, the Pope is expected to highlight the main conclusions of the Extraordinary Consistory last week.

He told Cardinals that family was key to the Church's evangelization of the world. With his letter, Pope Francis will repeat the same message, this time addressed to families themselves.

The Pope also asked Cardinals to help families in all their needs, with an "intelligent and brave” pastoral approach sketched during their meetings. An approach that will be more detailed during the next Synod on the family that will take place in October.
