Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Vatican gets ready to welcome journalists from all over the world!

2014-04-19

Journalists from all over the world are getting ready to cover the canonization ceremony of John Paul II and John XXIII-and the Vatican is getting ready to welcome all of them.

A Media Center to keep the world informed about what happens in St. Peter's has been set up inside Vatican territory at the Paul VI Hall.

"We have a capacity for 400 journalists who can work here simultaneously. We're talking about all mediums, so print journalism, the web, radio and also television.”

The Media Center is much more than just a hall. To brighten up the workspace, paintings and sculptures of the two late Popes and futures saints, have been installed.

SALVATORE SCOLOZZI

"We want the media center to represent the life and testimony of these saints. We didn't want a cold and distant media room, so we made an effort to communicate their sanctity to the world, through the work of these journalists.”

To keep track of time, this huge bell will ring out to start the work day and to end it.

With all roads leading to Rome and with the eyes of the world fixed on the big day, it's from this very media room that journalists will keep track of this key date in the history of the Catholic Church
