Pope Francis on John Paul II: He was the great missionary of the Church

2014-04-24

(-ONLY VIDEO-) During the on flight press conference from Brazil to Rome,  Pope Francis talked about how he remembers John Paul II, including why the future saints reminds him of St. Paul

Regarding John Paul II, I would say he was he great missionary of the Church. He was a missionary, a man who carried the Gospel everywhere, as you already know better than I. How many trips did he make? He kept on.  He felt this fire of carrying forth the Word of the Lord. He was like Paul, a man like Saint Paul. I think this is something great. To canonize them both together will be, I believe, a message for the Church. These two were wonderful, both of them.
