(-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI walked into St. Peter's Square at 9:30 on Sunday morning, roughly 30 minutes before the start of the canonization ceremony.

The 87 year old Pope emeritus was escorted to his seat, located in a reserved area for cardinals at the side of the altar.  He was dressed in white vestments, along with a white mitre.

When Italy's president Giorgio Napolitano arrived in the square, he walked over to  Benedict XVI to personally greet him.

The Pope emeritus will concelebrate Mass, following the canonization ceremony.
