Fourth gathering of Council of Cardinals

April 29, 2014. The Council of Cardinals began their fourth gathering on Monday. They heard from Joseph F.X. Zahra, the president for the pontifical commission that oversees economic and administrative changes to the Holy See. In other sessions, they discussed the work and mission of the pontifical councils. The gathering will end on Wednesday. The Council, also known as G8, will meet again from July 1-4. The Vatican said that their work, in advising the Pope on Church reform and governance, will likely not end this year.
