(-ONLY VIDEO-) Before reciting the Angelus prayer, Pope Francis remembered the beatification of Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, the first successor of St. Josemaria Escrivá as prelate of Opus Dei. 

He said that he hoped that Blessed del Portillo's exemplary Christian and priestly witness "can raise in many the desire to always adhere more to Jesus and the Gospel.”

Blessed Alvaro del Portillo was beatified yesterday in Madrid. Over 200,000 people from 80 countries around the world attended the celebration.
