Their names are Dani, Julio, Rapo and Peter. They are Catholic priests and big fans of rock music.

The band's name is 'La Voz del Desierto' or Voice of the Desert. Their latest album translates to 'Firm Friends of Jesus.' It was launched to honor 500 years since the birth of Teresa of Avila.

ALBERTO RAPOSO
Voice of the Desert
"For those of us who are part of the Voice of the Desert, so priests and also the laity, it's an honor to celebrate this anniversary, especially because she visited our diocese. For three months, she was the prioress of the Carmelite convent.”

The lyrics of one of the songs translates to Determined Determination. It's based on a text authored by the Saint, which deals with making the right decisions.

In total, they have three albums. Last year the group celebrated its 10th anniversary. Their dream is for their music to hit an international level.

ALBERTO RAPOSO
Voice of the Desert
"We want to take part in a European youth gathering this August, which will take place in the city of Avila, which is the city St. Teresa was born in. We're also looking into organizing a concert in America.”

La Voz del Desierto came about in 2004 in a Spanish diocesan seminary located in the Alcala de Henares.
