Pope to meet with President Obama on September 23rd

Pope Francis is scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama on Wednesday, September 23rd, in the White House. 

It's part of the Pope's first visit to the U.S, where he will lead the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. He also plans visit the UN headquarters in New York City and address Congress in Washington, D.C. 

Through a statement, the White House stated that both leaders will continue to address 'their shared values... including caring for the marginalized and poor, advancing economic opportunity... protecting religious minorities and religious freedom around the word.â? 

This won't be the first time president Obama and the Pope meet. They first met in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, back in March 2014.
