"And from that year until now I've never gone back home. I'm now 64 years old. I joined at 17 years. And then now I've alredy celebrated my 25 years. I'm waiting to celebrate 50 years as a religious.”

Sister Mary Clementina belongs to the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate in Gulu, Uganda. However, she did not always belong to this congregation.

"Before that I was a member of the Eucharistic Crusaders, the badge is here. It means that the children who love Jesus in the Eucharistic, they adore Jesus, they worship Jesus and then they want to follow Jesus. So that's the association that helped me to receive my vocation as a sister”

Gulu is one of the poorest regions in Uganda. The congregation is responsible for humanitarian work in the city. They work in hospitals as nurses or as teachers in schools.
