2015-04-18

The Showing Film Awards isn't a typical film contest. The competition specifically aims to get young people from throughout the world to promote understanding of universal human values through video.

Participants from more than 25 countries and 60 universities have submitted entries displaying their creative chops.

They were known as the Kerygma Awards until now. This year, there is a new name and a new challenge: the entries should focus on loyalty and human friendship. Hundreds of young people have already submitted their cinematic vision.

The winner will take home $6,000. The runners-up win $1,000 and $500.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of April, during a gala in Madrid, Spain.
