February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Josh Blakesley, the composer who is inspiring young Catholic singers

2015-04-24

Josh Blakesley entered the music world in 1992, when he became involved with peer ministry. He was able to see how teenagers began to come closer to God.

To help them, he began making music. In 2003, Blakesley released his first solo album, which is titled "Immersed.” It included original songs inspired especially by teenagers' experiences.

Other musicians, like the young pop singer Sarah Kroger, have been influenced by his music.

"You Are the Light" is the Catholic composer's latest album. His song "Grateful" was a success, thanks largely to the strong lyrics.

Blakesley offers a simple but direct message in his music that has been able to bring many people closer to God.
