Bishops from Puerto Rico met with Pope Francis during their 'ad limina' visit to Rome.

The Pope suggested that they meet while eating and, once again, Pope Francis showed his sense of humor.

'We usually don't have a meeting while eating. It is the first time it's been done. There was no place to go. So, we will eat lunch and will be more relaxed. And a little wine will loosen the tongue and you can tell me the truth.

In a written speech delivered to the bishops, Pope Francis recalled that the Church 'is not linked to any political system. He also asked them to defend families as they face challenges from economic difficulty, emigration, domestic violence, and drug trafficking.

The bishops were also advised about the dangers of gender theory and he invited them to promote marriage.
