Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Pope Celebrates Mass in Turin: Don't just read the Gospel, live it

2015-06-22

During his two day visit to the city of Turin, Pope Francis celebrated Mass in the city's Piazza Vittorio.

In the city that houses the Holy Shroud, he described the love of Christ, as a rock, and a constant without limits

POPE FRANCIS
"The Lord never gets tired of loving us, of bearing with us, of forgiving us. He accompanies us throughout the journey of life.”

Reflecting on the day's Gospel readings, the Pope also called on all Christians to reflect on how they live out their faith, calling on them to show courage.

POPE FRANCIS
"How do we live God's love among us? There is always the risk of forgetting the great love the Lord has shown us.”

With society always striving towards innovation and  immediate benefits, the Pope highlighted that the only true innovation in the world is Christ.

POPE FRANCIS
"Do we think the Lord is faithful? How do we live the novelty of Christ and the way it transforms us every day? How do we live the love of the Lord which serves as a barrier against the current of pride and false novelties?”

Towards the end of his Homily, the Pope highlighted that the Gospel can be lived out in small daily gestures. From helping families in financial need, to educating the youth and taking care of the elderly.

During the Mass, Archbishop Becciu, who serves in the Vatican's State Department, felt a bit ill and was transported to the hospital. A few hours later, once the Mass was said and done,  the Pope actually visited him in the hospital.
