2015-06-29

Pope Francis will start his week with a papal Mass for the blessing of the Pallium for new metropolitan archbishops. It will take place at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Basilica.

Last year, the Pope decided that the imposition of the Pallium will no longer take place in the Vatican, so that the archbishops can be closer to their people. However, he still blesses the Pallium from Rome.

During the month of July, the Pope will not be holding any general audiences.

On Friday, July 3rd, the Pope will meet in St. Peter's Square with the Renewal in the Holy Spirit Movement. The Italian musician Andrea Bocelli will sing at the event.

Instead of the weekly Angelus on Sunday, the Pope will depart for a three country tour at 9:00 a.m. He will visit Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay between July 5th and 13th.
