The Pope's intentions for August: selflessness and generosity towards the marginalized

2015-08-01

This August, Pope Francis is asking people to pray for volunteer work and for the harmony between all people in the world.

The Pope invites everyone to remember those who selflessly give their time. He asks for prayers so that they can continue their generous work in the service of the most vulnerable.

He also wants to dedicate this month especially to those who "are abandoned on the margins of human life and society.” Pope Francis asks Christians to be selfless and to reach out to other people.

After a few weeks of reduced activity, the Pope will resume his official schedule in August.
