February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

2015-09-07

The Pope has a full schedule ahead of him this week. On Monday September 7th, as he does every weekday, the Pope will celebrate morning Mass at 7:00 a.m. in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta chapel, along with pilgrims.

On Wednesday, September 9th, he will lead his weekly general audience from St. Peter's Square, where he will share his catechesis, with thousands of pilgrims.

In between meetings and audiences, the Pope will also be preparing for his trip to Cuba and the U.S, which includes brushing up on his English.

More than likely, he will also be getting things ready for the Synod on the Family, since it will kick off just days after he comes back from his trip abroad.

On Sunday 13th,  the Pope will lead the Angelus prayer from his studio window, overlooking St. Peter's Square, where thousands of pilgrims go every week to pray along with the Pope.
