Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

British band launches song about Don Bosco, enter into top 10 on Amazon UK music charts

2015-10-09

To celebrate the 200th birthday of St. John Bosco or "Don" Bosco, the founder of the Salesian Society, children from the Salesian School in the United Kingdom completed projects to celebrate his life.

Wanting to do something different, student Cathra Plant composed this song called "It's Not Enough," which celebrates the legacy of the saint.

Due to the success of her project, Cathra and some of her classmates formed a band called "The Boscos" and recorded their song last June. The band released the song on September 18th.

The song was picked up by a few local radio stations and is also available online for purchase. On September 23rd the single entered Amazon UK's top 10 music chart and number 3 on the "Movers and Shakers" chart.

The students and the school community couldn't be happier for the song's success especially since it has helped spread the story of Don Bosco.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to Don Bosco Ashalayam, an organization that assists vulnerable children and youth in Kolkata, India.
