The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Axana, the Russian singer songwriter who hopes to inspire and uplift

2015-10-30

Axana has always had a passion for music. Currently, she sings and composes songs of worship. The twist? Her songs are not in her native language, but rather in Spanish.

Her latest song "Somos Peregrinos” or " We are Pilgrims,” encourages all to follow the path set by Christ. In part, her music is about helping others grow in their faith.

After three years of dedicated work, her first album Te Necesito, or I Need You in English, was released.

Axana was not always a devout Christian. In fact, her previous songs were pop-oriented. Now, after finding the faith, she has noticed positive differences in her life.

The singer is based in Madrid, where she lives with her family. To listen to Axana, head over to the Basilica Hispanoamerica de la Merced, where she sings every weekend.
