Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

El Shaddai, a Charismatic Catholic group, visits the Vatican

2015-12-20

Over 200 members of the charismatic Catholic group El Shaddai came together to attend Pope Francis' weekly general audience. Distance was not an obstacle.

This particular group hailed from the Los Angeles area, though the organization originally started in the Philippines.

"It is a great blessing for all of us.”

"It is a great experience being in close encounter with the Pope.”

El Shaddai has now expanded to most parts of the world. However, they are united around their ideas and goals.

"There's thousands of groups all over the world.”

"It is the same. We all have the same mission and vision.”

Rome is just one stop on their pilgrimage of all of Italy. For now, they are happy to have attended an audience with the Pope.
