Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

365 Days to Mercy: An app to guide you through the Jubilee

2016-03-26

The Jubilee of Mercy is a special time for Catholics across the world. It's also a busy time, and it can become difficult to keep track of everything that's happening.

The designers of 365 Days to Mercy, a smartphone app designed for the Jubilee, hope to help.

For the rest of the year, the app provides daily inspiration, readings, and news related to the Jubilee.

Key texts related to mercy also appear in the app, such as the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Another section includes daily messages from the Pope, through his Twitter account.

Beyond just text, the app features a music section where users can listen to songs about mercy, as well as download lyrics and sheet music.

Our Sunday Visitor Catholic Publishing Company designed the app, which is available for iOS and Android in English, Spanish, and German.
