This song, "Because he lives,” was very close to winning "Best Interpretation” of Contemporary Christian music in the last Grammy's.

The song is by Matt Maher, one of the most respected Catholic singers. The album "Saints and Sinners” by this 41-year-old, Canadian, who also received a nomination for Best album of Christian music.

With it begins a tour that will stop in 24 cities in United States this spring.

Matt Maher believes that in order to make progress, sometimes you have to look back and remember who you were. And from that humility he wants to continue a career that already has span into eight albums, numerous awards, including the musical hit "Lord I need you.”

With this performance, he dazzled the audience at the World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro. He had previously preformed in 2008 in New York before Benedict XVI. His music and lyrics always refer to God.
