"It's very fulfilling to be able to help people to go to mass and to give thanks and glory to God.”

What originally started as a simple experiment, has now turned into an application with more than 35,000 downloads and 10,000 registered churches around the world. However, its creators are expecting it to continue to grow. They say they would not be surprised if it soon reaches over a million downloads.

"I believe this app is going to help a lot of people all over the world. I mean, the travelers especially really like having a single app to find masses when they travel to different cities.”

There are volunteers helping him with the application, including three of his kids, Tomás (14), Pilar (13), and Sofia (12). They help organize the church data and error reports that are sent in each day by users.

One noted characteristic of the app is its ease of use. It is designed for the everyday user and is made as simple as possible with zoom capabilities on the maps, and directions offered through the GPS and current location of the phone.

"It's a really useful app. It's very small. You can have it in your phone for like an emergency case. I think...it's free, it has no adds, so it has no downside.”

They recently upgraded the app with the ability to choose which directional app it defaults to and adoration times have been added alongside each church listing.

In order to accomplish each of these upgrades, Pablo said they are requesting help from people around the world, both to update information and add more churches to the application. He is asking priests to help him as well by sending in their parish information.

The application is currently offered in English, Spanish, French and Italian for iOS and Spanish for Android. However, there are plans to add each additional language for Android as well. You can download the app from www.horariosdemisa.com
