Pope publishes video to pray for aged, marginalized and lonely

2016-06-03

Pope Francis has yet again posted his prayer intentions for the month in video format with The Pope Video. For the month of June, he is asking those around the world to join him in praying for the elderly, sick, marginalized and those who are lonely or forgotten. His intention for them is to encounter people and find solidarity, even in the largest cities around the world.

The Pope asks for the public not to ignore the needy. In addition to giving to them, he asks that people go a step further and begin to take responsibility for one another.

The video is the sixth he has published this year and is an initiative of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network.
