Malaysia's first Resident Ambassador to the Holy See presents his credentials to the Pope

On Thursday, Pope Francis held a private audience in the Vatican on for Malaysia's Ambassador Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok, who presented his Credentials.

His appointment as the countryâ??s first resident ambassador to the Holy See was announced in March of this year. Dompok has been credited with establishing strong diplomatic ties with the Vatican in 2011.

During the meeting he introduced his wife and his grandchildren. The Pope gave the ambassador a copy of two of his important papal documents, Evangelii Gaudium and Laudato si' and he said goodbye to him and his wife asking in English to pray for him and God bless.
