Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

2016-06-10

Sarah Kroger might be from a small town but that does not mean she is a stranger to large-scale venues.

SARAH KROGER
Singer
"The interesting thing is that a lot of people, when I go to events, they will say to me afterwords something like: Why don't you try out for 'The Voice?' Why don't you try out for 'American Idol?' Why don't you go in that realm of music.... As if like Christian music or Catholic music is not arriving or not enough but for me its the exact opposite.”

She credits her ministry and mentors for the support she has had through these years. Ministry music is something that runs in her blood. Both her parents are parish ministers.

SARAH KROGER
Singer
"Being led in worship, specifically being led in music... It just.. It grew my faith exponentially. It was a way that I connected with God  that I had never really been able to before. It kind of opened up this part of my heart. And so, I always had this desire and this dream to be a worship leader.”

As a teen, she really began to harness her love of song. The result has lead to performing throughout various music festivals in the United States and Europe. She has even perform in the World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro.

SARAH KROGER
Singer
"I'm really giving myself the space and God the space to speak inspiration into me and whenever it is that he wants this next album to look like. So, yes. There will be new music soon. It just takes some time sometimes.”

Besides the large-scale conferences and concerts, Sarah also leads youth, confirmation and women's retreats and workshops on prayer and leading worship on the parish level. When Sarah is not juggling her demanding schedule, she is working on her third album. It's an album that she does not want to rush.
