Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Mercy transformed into a tangible format

2016-06-29

Not every Christian has the opportunity to physically walk through a designated Holy Door of Mercy during this Jubilee Year. It is specifically for them that the series "Doors of Mercy” exists.

Doors of Mercy places the message of Pope Francis right at one's fingertips, with the ability to analyze the significance of each lesson and then put the new learned theory into practice in their day-to-day life

"So the 'Doors of Mercy' is an eight-week program that emphasizes covenant, that God desires to be with us; mercy, that God's always willing to give us that second chance; and drama, that it's always ups and downs, that it's life, we're just living it in salvation history, in our own personal lives.”

This idea of life is exemplified through various characters in the series, beginning with Adam and Eve and ending with St. Faustina's devotion to Divine Mercy.

Through the viewpoints of various scholars and saints, it is a call to conversion and to grow deeper in faith and love with God, while experiencing His compassion.

"The great impact of the Doors of Mercy is, we say 'all roads lead to Rome,' but the Jubilee year turns that upside down and all the roads lead from Rome to all the nations of the world. It leads to home and so the great hope with the Doors of Mercy is that what the Holy Father is saying here, and throughout the world, will reach every parish, every Christian family, will reach all the parts of the world so that mercy will be something we see in our everyday lives, each one of us.”

More than 1,000 U.S. parishes, small groups and other organizations are currently encountering the message of mercy in this innovative way of delivering the lessons Pope Francis wants to stress during this Jubilee year, but without the trip to Rome.
